Following medical school, Dr. Blondeau completed a fellowship in angiology at the Tours University Hospital. He also was in private practice in France for several years. In 1999, Dr. Blondeau came to the US as a resident in general surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. He was also a resident at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, MO and completed a fellowship in hepato-biliary surgery and multi-organ transplantation at the Recanati/Miller Transplant Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Prior to coming to UMMC, Dr. Blondeau was the Attending Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Blondeau has been with UMMC since 2008.
