Dr. Blewett is originally from Detroit, Michigan. Following medical school, Dr. Blewett completed an internship, residency and research fellowship at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. He completed a clinical fellowship in pediatric surgery at the Children's Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham, AL and served as an Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the Texas tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. His research interests are Fetal Wound Healing, Fetal Lung Development and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Blewett has been at UMC since 2007.
