Although she grew up in New York City, Dr. Butt has had the opportunity to reside all over the United States. She attended MIT in Cambridge, MA as an undergraduate and then returned to NY for medical school and a residency in general surgery. She next traveled to Miami, FL for a fellowship in abdominal organ transplantation. Relocation to the West Coast followed, during an additional transplant fellowship in Los Angeles, CA. Most recently, she has enthusiastically exchanged the congested highways of Los Angeles for the expansive thoroughfares of Mississippi, which she now calls home.
