Biography:
Dr. Barber is originally from Ogden, Utah. After medical school, he completed his intership and residence at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama, followed by a research fellow at Oxford University. His primary procedures and research interests are renal transplantation, hemodialysis access, abdominal organ procurement, breast surgery, oncologic surgery, surgical care of transplant and hemodialysis patients. Prior to coming to UMMC, Dr. Barber was on the surgical faculty at UAB. He joined the faculty at UMMC in 1993.
