program involves the University
Hospitals and Clinics, Veterans
Affairs Medical Center, and several private practices.
The full-time faculty consists of four plastic surgeons, two PhDs, and one

has an established lab headed by two full-time PhDs. Residents have won several
national plastic surgery research awards.
Last year the total number
of plastic surgery procedures carried out at the University of Mississippi
Medical Center was 1500.
